So for my birthday Jason and I went to Benihana's. If you sign up on their email list (benihana.com) they will email you a free meal -a $30 value, to use for your birthday. So I ordered lobster tail and fillet mignon. Can I just say that it was probably the BEST meal I have ever eaten!!! I recommend you all sign up and enjoy this free meal! They even took this picture of us and gave it to us for free.

Paisley's Smiles
Paisley is really starting to smile at us a lot, and is starting to make all sorts of little sounds. It is so cute. She is really happy in the morning time. I tried to catch some of these moments on camera. She seems to stop right when I pull the camera out, but here are a few smiley faces.

Hyrum's memories of Dad
I have great memories of Dad. The first one I thought of was of him baptizing me on or near my birthday and then taking me out to Taco Time. I felt really special being able to go to dinner with you that night. I also remember many fathers and sons outings, scout camps and especially the 50 mile hike we did up in the Uintas. I always new that would be a great memory for the rest of my life it was a really great experience. Dad I also remember you taking me to do the final shooting test for my hunters safety. It made me so happy that I went with me that day. I remember you supporting me and Chris in wrestling meets. I also remember you taking down to the DMV to get my drivers license and then asking me if I wanted to drive home. I remember I said no because we were driving the little orange Chevette and I didn't feel comfortable enough to drive a stick shift all the way home from Orem.
I remember one youth activity we had in the Cresent Ward where we had to answer questions to see how well we knew our parents and vice versa. Bro Burnett was so impressed that I got the answer right. when asked if there is one thing that Dad ever wanted from us kids what would it be? My answer was for us kids to be obedient. Dad thanks for your love and example to us all
Happy Birthday!!!

HAPPY 70th DAD!!!
Dad, one of my favorite memories of you is when we ran the Salt Lake 5k together last April. You told me "okay Amber remember to start out slow and conserve your energy for the end of the race so you can sprint to the finish." We were at the starting line the bell rang and you took OFF like a speeding bullet. I had to weave through a bunch of people and run fast to catch up with you. I was like "what happened to what we just talked about?" I laugh every time I think about it!
Another memory of you is when we were at the cabin playing games and we were playing UNO something funny happened but I just remember you giggling, and laughing so hard for like 5 mins straight we all could not stop laughing, because I have never seen you laugh SO hard.
I love you Dad! You have always been such a great provider, example, hard worker and great Dad! Thank you for all the life lessons you have taught me. I hope you have a great birthday!
P.S. I also remember you making us stick our hand down the toilet to un clog a hairspray cap that fell down there, and our arm was small enough. haha
XOXO- Love-Amber

We love you Dad!!!!
When I think of Memories of you Dad, I think of the times when we were little kids in Fairview and you used to always give us piggy back rides downstairs to bed. I also remember you would put Ann and Amy on the cabin swing off the top when they were just tiny--maybe three years old. Using our little arms to help unplug the toilet also comes to mind. Hiking down to Fairview through the Mountains was a lot of fun. You were also always reading something to us.
You worked hard to support our family--almost always working two jobs.
Most of all, Dad, you were such a stallwart when it came to scripture reading and Family home evening. It is so great to have a Father who honors his Priesthood and practices what he preaches. You continue to be a great example to all of us.
You are the best Dad!!!!! We Love you!!!! Happy 70th!!!!

Chris' Fond Memory of Dad
Happy Birthday DAD!
Happy Birthday DAD!! Wow 70, and you're going strong as ever!! I thought it would be fun if all of us kids and grand kids would post a memory of you.
One of my fondest memories was when we lived in Roosevelt and you worked for Philips 66. I remember going to work with you, riding in the big truck and getting candy necklaces for a treat. It was awesome having that one on one time with you.
Thanks for being the best dad ever! I love you!

Happy 70th Birthday Dad!!
Wow Dad 70 years old!
The things I love most about you:
1. You are a spiritual giant! You were always so dedicated and consistant in leading our family in prayer, scripture study, and family home evening.
2. You are an amazing example! You always strive to do what is right and follow the commandments with exactness.
3. You are physically fit! Exercise is important to you and I think that that is awesome.
4. You were a fun dad! I remeber a lot of piggy back rides to bed and times when you would swing me around and around in your arms. I loved it when you would get out your guitar and sing fun old-time songs like: Bill Grogan's Goat, The Fox Went out on a Chilly Night, and You are My Sunshine.
5. You are a hard worker! Amazing that you were able to support a family of 12! I know it must have been hard working more than one job at times, but somehow you did it, and we never seemed to be without the things we needed.
I love you Dad and I hope you have a wonderful Birthday!
Love , Amy
P.s. I love having you as a neighbor!
