Chris's Fond Memories of Mom

Mom and Dad you have always helped, encourage, teach and raise us according to the will of the Lord of which I am so very grateful. One of my fond memories of you Mom is when I was growing up and you would come down to the basement and tuck me and Stuart into bed (when we lived in Fairview).  You would help each of us say our prayers and coach us as we did. I remember one time being not quite so ready to pray and you taught me the importance of praying with respect, seriousness and sincerity.   I have remembered and made it a practice to pray with our children when tucking them in as well. I still pray with Cody before bed most nights.   Mom you were also the best at comforting me those many times I had bad accidents being the very active boy I was.  Even now I enjoy our phone calls to discuss how we are doing, you and everyone else as well.  Chris

Dad, I also cherished the personal time you spent with me.  One such occation was when I brought home a scrap of leather from a Boy Scout leadership camp and wondered what I could make from it.  You spent time to design and then make a pocket knife case for my swiss army knife that also held a pair of needle nose pliars.  I still have that case and greatly value it because of the time you spent making that case with me.  Chris

Favorite Memory with Grandma from Katie
I remember going to Grandma's old house with Tiffany & Whitney and we watched Harry Potter Movies together.  I also remember when Grandma came to my baptism and gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.  It made me feel so special that she would come all the way across the country to see me for that one special night.

Favorite Memories with Grandma from Natalie
When Grandma came to my baptism she gave me this small white beaded braclet.  She said "This is how clean you will be right after your baptsim."  She also said "If you wear this it can remind you to also do good and clean things."

I also remember when she came to my baptsim she said this very heart felt talk.  It was about the Holy Ghost and listening to it in times of need.

I remember also for my birthday we helped make the cake and put everything together.

I remember going to her house and playing there with all the other cousins.

Favorite Memories with Grandma from Cody
I really liked when Grandma talked at my baptism this year. I felt the spirit all during her talk.  I also loved picking berries when they visited.  I shared my berries with Grandma she got three and I got two.

I also remember going to the cabin and helping Grandma make pancakes and also going on the hike and finding that fort/lean-to thing that someone made.  I wish we could live in Utah.  I really had fun with Grandpa and Grandma and my cousins.

Mom and Dad, we all cherish time spent with you and wish we could do it more often and have loved the visits we've had with everyone both here and in Utah.  Here are a few photos when you were here to visit.
